Dioptase is a formal hydrated copper silicate species, Cu6Si6O18·6H2O (equivalent CuSiO2(OH)2), with intense green color. It is not emerald. Copper Emerald and related names are historical/trade labels, not emerald. Collectors may keep it for study and display. It is not medical care.
